"THE NUTCRACKER" (TCHAIKOVSKY) 17 FEB 2021
Hi guys. I hope you are all ok during your confinement. Piotr Tchaikovsky was one of Russia´s most important composers of all times. He created many great masterpieces. One of his best known was The Nutcracker, composed between 1891 and 1892. It was conceived as a fairy tale and a ballet.
If you click on the link below you will access a body rhythm exercise based on a part of "The Nutcracker" called "The sugar plum fairy".
Take a pencil and use it as a drum stick to tap on the table while looking at the notes showing up. I hope you will like the music. We will do it next week in the classroom when you all come back to school. Hugs, Miguel.

Hola chicos. Espero que estéis bien durante vuestro confinamiento. Piotr Tchaikovsky fue uno de los compositores rusos más importantes de todos los tiempos. Creo muchas obras maestras. Una de sus más conocidas fue "El cascanueces", compuesta entre 1891 y 1892. Fue concebida como un cuento de hadas y un ballet.
Si hacéis click en el link de abajo accederéis a un ejercicio rítmico basado en una parte de "El Cascanueces" llamada "El hada golosina".
Coged un lápiz para usarlo como si fuera la baqueta de un tambor golpeando la mesa mientras seguís las notas que aparecen en el ejercicio. Espero que os guste la música. Lo haremos todos juntos la próxima en clase cuando hayáis vuelto al cole.

Hi everyone and happy new year. Please click on the link below and repeat the rhythm patterns shown as beets and cherries corresponding to music notes: crotchets and cherries.

Hola a todos, feliz año. Haced click en el link de arriba y repetid los patrones rítmicos que aparecen como beet (remolacha en inglés) y cerezas (cherries) y que se corresponden con las figuras negra y corchea.
Click on the link below and choose "Reading" (leer). Do a few rounds choosing the right name for each note on the staff until you get all of them right. Then choose "Writing" (escribir) and copy the names of the notes on your music notebook. On top of each name write the corresponding note. Take a picture of your writing and send it to me via email. Good luck.
Haz click en el link de abajo y elige la opción "leer". Haz unas cuantas rondas eligiendo el nombre correcto para cada nota de las que salen en el pentagrama hasta que no falles. Después elige la opción "escribir" y en tu cuaderno de música copia los nombres que salen en la pantalla. Encima de cada nombre en tu cuaderno debes escribir la nota correspondiente. Manda una foto de tu trabajo a mi email. Buena suerte.

Practice these rhythm patterns at home. You can clap your hands or you can use any object you like as an instrument: a box, a plate, a plastic bottle, etc
Use the following video to practice the Scale of C on the recorder. Remember to blow very gentle!
